        The purpose of the position is to:
To provide accounting, administrative support and acquittal reporting for all grant funding received by Council in consultation with relevant sections and grant funding agreements.
To undertake special projects and research as relevant to the position and Section responsibilities and provide accounting and administrative support to the Finance & Supply Section as requested.

        To be successful in the position you will need:
Diploma in finance/accounting; or equivalent relevant industry experience
Current Drivers Licence
Demonstrated experience in a finance/accounting related position involving budget preparation and control, and account reconciliations.
Demonstrated experience in handling multiple projects and tasks with competing timeframes
Demonstrated understanding of computerised accounting systems
General computer literacy in email and internet programs, Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Basic proficiency in Word
Demonstrated ability to analyse financial and other reports
Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
A sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the implementation of GST Legislation
Demonstrated commitment to organisational goals and objectives
