Marketing Communications Specialist – Brisbane – Hudson

Develop communications in line with key objectives within the marketing strategy
full time contract in 12 months (part-time could be considered)

Position Purpose
Reporting to the General Manager Marketing, the Marketing and Communications Specialist will support the acquisition and retention of employers and members through the development and review of communications materials including product guides, sales collateral, product disclosure statements, newsletters, online articles, email newsletters, social media posts and media releases. This role will focus on writing and editing of both creative and compliance driven communications. The position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills and works closely with the General Manager Marketing to deliver on the below elements of marketing plan.

The Marketing and Communications Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Communications and Marketing Strategy
Develop communications in line with key objectives within the marketing strategy such as acquisition of employers and members, reduce roll overs, increase upsell and cross-sell in conjunction with General Manager Marketing.
Develop, write and review a range of communication materials, including statements, product guides, product disclosure documents, newsletters, media releases, editorials, fact sheets, letters, significant event notification and annual reports.
Briefing third party services providers ensuring service is delivered on time and within budget.
Develop and implement administrative and regulatory collateral including comprehension of legislative compliance documentation and conversion into plain English for customer communications.
Project management skills and understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement, leads and conversions.
Create and distribute, the organization’s articles, providing analysis and presentation of these articles via the specific channels.
Actively seek media and other corporate public relations opportunities for the organization through awards and ratings partners and coordinate submissions.

Stakeholder Management
Liaise with suppliers, creative agencies, printers and mail houses to optimize value.
To lead and develop the relationship with the administrator to maximize outcomes.
Capability Statement
Degree qualified in Marketing Communications or similar.
Minimum 7 years of experience working in a similar role.
Highly developed written communication and editing skills.
Equally confident in producing creative content and compliance driven communications.
A proven track record in developing and implementing communications materials including product disclosure statements, emails, newsletters, articles, media releases and annual reports.
Experience working in the financial services industry.
Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it.
Well organised and be able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver high quality results.
Ability to establish strong working relationships and work with others to achieve team goals.
Extensive experience in writing for online including optimizing for email, search, social and onsite.
Experience using a marketing automation tool such as Marketo or similar would be beneficial.
