Graduate DevOps Engineer – iSignthis Ltd – Melbourne

iSignthis Ltd (ASX : ISX) has developed world leading identity proofing and payment authentication services, allowing persons to be remotely identified to satisfy stringent identity requirements of the financial industry and government.

We replace the “100 point check” with a fully automated online system – on a global basis.

As a Linux DevOps Engineer located in our Melbourne office, you will be part of the team that supports and maintains the iSignthis platform.

This is a ground level position, with the fastest growing ASX listed technology company in 2015. We have researched, patented and developed our own intellectual property out of Melbourne, and develop products in-house. Our cloud based technology is hosted at AWS, with our services required to be certified and maintained to the fintech PCI DSS standard.

Our DevOps are part of the Operations team that manages the global infrastructure, with travel between our Melbourne, London and Amsterdam offices likely. We are seeking to automate everything possible, taking all things to the next level!


Assist with training non-technical personnel
Interact with customers in a professional capacity
Contribute to automation of server provisioning and software deployment
Analyzes, tests, and assists with the integration of new applications
Research and documentation for new tools & systems
Contribute to solutions that aid in scalability and security
Participate in a 24×7 on call support as member of a roster based team


Infrastructure as Code is the core of our operation. As an early stage company that implements an agile approach to development we use a wide variety of technologies in order to achieve our requirements. We are looking for someone who is Interested in learning new skills and keeping pace with changing technologies

 A passion for DevOps tools and culture, with some exposure in the areas below a plus.

Familiarity with AWS services
Exposure to Java, Python and/or Javascript.
Hands-on experience with Linux
Some experience with Databases (NoSQL a plus)
Knowledge of source code control management systems, and code branching/merging strategies; Git is preferred, or else Subversion (SVN)
Bash/Python/Ruby or similar scripting ability
Strong english communication skills, with a preference for any other EU28, Japanese or Korean language skills
Ability to work cross-functionally
