We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a motivated professional to join our team at REMONDIS. This position will be based in Unanderra and you will be jointly responsible for the development and implementation of innovative waste education programmes for Wollongong City Council (WCC) Waste Services. This is a permanent part-time position equating to 28 hours /week.

You will need to be a degree qualified professional, with a passion for educating the entire spectrum of the community in best practice waste minimisation and recycling. You will work hand in hand with another waste services educator to produce innovative programs that reduce contamination in the 3 bin waste services system that WCC provide to their residents. These strategic programs will be developed through collected data, audits and consultation with the WCC waste services team. The suitable candidate will have an uncompromising safety focus and enjoy being part of a passionate team delivering exceptional service to WCC.

Specific duties include but are not limited to;         

Develop and implement waste services awareness programs for the community
Educate the community through face to face training
Audit compliance to reduce specific contamination issues
Promote the council’s waste services

As the successful candidate you will need to possess:

Qualifications in education and training
Knowledge of  waste management practices
Excellent communication skills to engage a diverse community base
Ability to establish effective partnerships with council and community
