Salary package: $73,406 – $85,020 per annum + 17% Superannuation
The Colleges of Science HR team are looking to fill two vacancies within the team; one ongoing and one for a fixed term of up to 17 months, as a maternity leave cover. The Science Administration team provides administrative support for Human Resources, Finance, Research Management and Student Administration to both the College of Medicine, Biology and Environment and the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
The HR Consultant works within the Human Resources team managing a client portfolio on all operational aspects of employment life cycle whilst ensuring compliance with the University’s Enterprise Agreement and associated policies, procedures and current legislation. The position will contribute to new initiatives and the development of best practise and streamlining of processes within the HR function at the University. The position is also responsible for the coordinating reports and analysis for senior staff members within the portfolio.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to developing a career in HR and an understanding of what a role in HR entails. We are looking for a team player with strong communication skills and effective relationship management, along with the ability to negotiate, and influence with senior stakeholders and ability to mentor more junior staff. Highly developed organisational skills, effective time management and excellent attention to detail are all essential attributes for this position.
