Project Manager – Ground Engineering – Piling & Concreting Australia – Gold Coast

PCA are an innovative company offering design and construction ground engineering services to both private and public sector clients. We target both subcontract and principal subcontractor works and are looking for a Project Manager to join our team who is interested in managing and taking ownership of projects from specification and inception stage through to construction and handover to clients.

Projects can range in size and complexity with the successful applicant being able to multi task and manage several projects at varying stages with the support of the wider team, to deliver the required commercial, quality and safety outcomes.

Responsibilities include;

Identifying new clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
Prioritising opportunities to leverage the strengths of our company at tender stage.
Developing relationships with engineers and clients who specify and have use for our ground engineering services.
Estimating, following up and managing tendered projects in an organised and timely manner.
Be able to link the commercial outcomes of a project with the engineering requirements to ensure our projects are both profitable and meet the required specifications.
Organise, oversee and direct site labour and the delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment and establish detailed programs for the co-ordination of site activities.
Monitor changes to the project scope and effectively measure, cost and negotiate any variations to contractual conditions.

The preferred candidate will also have the following skills and attributes;

Experience at estimating and tendering for ground engineering projects. Contacts within the industry are not mandatory but will be helpful for any candidate.
Experience as a Project Manager or the ability to demonstrate an area of construction and contract management where the aforementioned responsibilities have been utilised.
Experience in the ground engineering industry. Specifically in the area of slope stabilisation, earth retention and deep/piled foundations. We are actively looking for someone who can bring new skills and/or a depth of knowledge to complement our growing team.
The ability to travel when needed to ensure the project outcomes are being met.
Experience in site documentation and reporting.
The ability to problem solve and provide alternative solutions to clients that offer commercial and technical advantages to a project.
A strong culture in relation to occupational health and safety
Experience operating within a 3rd party accredited management system.

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate inclusive of a performance bonus for achieving predetermined financial outcomes. This position is open for Australian residents with valid visa’s or workers with permanent residency.
