Head Chef – Richmond Hill Nominees – Melbourne

If you’re driven, creative and enjoy working in a fast pace environment, Melbourne’s iconic café restaurant Richmond Hill Cafe and Larder could be the place for you. We are currently seeking an experienced Head Chef.

Situated on Bridge Road Richmond, the venue is one of the most unique eateries in Australia. Operating 7 days a week (8am to 5pm) our fine food, special events, catering and our cheese room and larder are second to none.

Must work on weekends, and with the space available for night functions you will also need to be willing to work the occasional night shift.

Directing a team of up to ten staff, your responsibilities, as well as maintaining and improving our menu will include:

Menu design and costing
Must have a sound knowledge of butchery & filleting fish
Must have ability to oversee all sections and control stock quality, quantity and wastage
Implementation of organisational processes by which to run the kitchen  day to day
Must train kitchen staff (ongoing training)
Staff rostering
Cost control  (food and staff)
Insuring kitchen is kept clean and kitchen equipment & machinery is well maintained and inspected daily

If you’re a Head chef with minimum of 3 to 5 year experience in similar role, we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for someone who would be with the company for a minimum of 3 year or more.
