Our client manages one of the largest drip irrigated horticultural operations in Australia. Water is sourced through bores from underground aquifers and through an elaborate web of bores across their properties in the Northern Territory which require servicing and maintenance. We are seeking an experienced Bore Service Manager to join their permanent staff in this exciting role.
Reporting to the Irrigation Manager, the Bore Servicing Manager will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all bores and bore head infrastructure across the Northern Territory (Douglas Daly and Katherine regions)
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of and experience with modern Bore design and complete servicing of bore and head infrastructure.
Oversee, coordinate and manage bore installation contractors
Manage all aspects of bores and bore head installation, maintenance, trouble shooting and repair.
Carry out work across all managed properties in the NT
This role requires associated isolated travel and remote living.
Run and maintain the bore service truck and associated equipment.
With the Irrigation team, manage and maintain a range of pump systems from direct drive diesel line shaft pumps to VFD controlled electrical systems and submersibles
Work with the irrigation manager NT and deliver on the irrigation strategy for the NT operations.
Assist in designs and ordering as required as well as the reporting of maintenance and repair work.
Knowledge and skills:
Minimum of two years’ service experience of bore systems
A demonstrated proficiency in bore head maintenance and the ability to pull and install bores.
Hyab crane operators certificate
Current HR – class driver’s license
Leadership and communication skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to carry out duties safely in accordance with OHS regulations
First Aid Certificate
