An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Fleet Controller to join The Glen Cameron Group’s Victorian team based in Bayswater. This role will be responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of all fleet movements in a fast paced local general freight environment.

The successful applicant will ensure outstanding customer service standards are achieved and safety and operational targets are met in line with our customer’s expectations and The Glen Cameron Group’s business plans.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Effective and efficient coordination of all local/general fleet related movements Processing driver run sheets and monitoring potential compliance issues including fatigue management and vehicle damage
Streamlining processes to ensure timely dispatching of loads with a sense of urgency
Ensuring all elements of fleet operational requirements are met efficiently with maximum optimization of vehicles, drivers, sub-contractors and equipment
Effective day to day management of overall fleet controlling duties
Continually striving to improve systems and processes in liaison with relevant stakeholders
Ensuring all security policies and procedures are in place and adhered to
Providing a safe working environment for all team members, and ensuring compliance to all statutory requirements.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi task and adapt to change quickly
Thorough understanding of truck fleet management and coordination
Capacity to make accurate decisions in a highly pressurised & fast paced environment
Enthusiasm and positive attitude with ability to develop a positive culture and motivate peers
Proven experience in consistently delivering results, and beating service, budget targets and KPI targets.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven planning, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity and guide and/or coach others in the resolution of problems
Medium to high Microsoft application skills
