Regional Coordinator – Hinterland Community Care Inc – Mackay

Hinterland Community Care Inc is a non-government organisation funded by the Department of Health and The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disabilities Services to provide in home and community linking services to the frail, aged and younger disabled living in the Central Highlands. Service outlets are in Dysart and Moranbah with outreach services to Glenden, Nebo, Coppabella, Clermont, Middlemount, McKenzie River, Tieri and their surrounding districts.

Based in Dysart you will oversee the operational management of the organisation, reporting to the Management Committee.  With Services Coordinators reporting to you, you will support them in ensuring that quality service is delivered in line with the organisations high quality standards, policies and procedures.  You will create positive change through developing and implementing new strategic business principles and effectively engaging with a broad range of stake holders.

Essential Criteria:

2 years demonstrated experience in a Management role (preferred but not essential)
Have relevant qualifications in management, aged care, or disability related discipline (or a willingness to obtain).
Well developed and dynamic leadership skills, including mentoring, performance management, conflict resolution and identifying training needs
Good communication skills
Strong knowledge of financial budgets and risk management
Knowledge of Accreditation , Aged Care and Disability Standards would be an advantage
Have an understanding of the current and likely future operating environment in aged care and disability services
Current Police Check (or willing to obtain)
Current Blue and Yellow Cards (or willing to obtain)
