Council comprises an area of 10,440 km2, employs about 600 staff, operates 5 administration centers, 10 works depots and serves approximately 50,000 residents and ratepayers living in 44 towns, villages and city environs.

        The purpose of the position is to:
Coordinate the completion of Council’s 10 year Long Term Financial Plan (LTFP) in accordance with statutory requirements.
Support relevant Sections of Council with particular reference to their Long Term Asset Management Plans (AMPs) and incorporation of whole of life costs into the LTFP.
In consultation with Council’s Manager Water Cycle prepare Council’s 30 year LTFP for the Water and Sewer Funds

        To be successful in the position you will need:
Degree majoring in Accounting; or equivalent relevant industry experience
Current Drivers licence
Demonstrated experience in management accounting
Demonstrated experience and understanding of the budgeting process and cost control
Demonstrated experience in the development of complicated financial models
Demonstrated data analysis skills
Demonstrated well developed communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
Ability to interpret and implement legislative requirements of the position
General computer literacy in email and internet programs, Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Basic proficiency in Word
Demonstrated commitment to the achievement of organisational goals and objectives
