The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP)  is Australia’s largest professional general practice organisation and represents over 29,000 members working in general practice. The RACGP’s activities focus on the six key areas of standards, quality, education, advocacy, professional leadership and collegiality.

The purpose of the NT Representative is to represent the RACGP in the Northern Territory and establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, including members, other GP bodies and relevant government agencies both in Darwin, major rural centers and in remote areas, while based in our North Adelaide Office. The NT Representative will also:

Co-ordinate and administer webinar based education programs
Co-ordinate and manage the administration required to support the delivery of the RACGP’s Fellowship Exams in NT and related enabling activities
Administer and co-ordinate Pre-Exam Seminars and workshops for NT Members
Organise social and networking events for NT based GP’s, including the annual dinner
Prepare and disseminate information bulletins to NT members of the RACGP
Retain and grow membership of the RACGP

To be successful in this role you will bring the following knowledge and skills (Key Selection Criteria):

Outstanding organisational and planning skills, effectively and efficiently manage contracts with event and/or conference organisers, printers etc. Troubleshoot as required.
Ability to design and manage projects independently and efficiently
A positive and encouraging interpersonal style; well-developed networking skills, professional writing skills and strong customer focus
Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite, preparation of publications including newsletters and fliers; local management of national database
Excellent Customer Service focus delivery
High degree of initiative and flexibility
Flexibility to work after hours (including weekends) and to travel to the Northern Territory as required
Tertiary qualification preferably in a health related field
