Electronics Engineer – Hydrix Pty Ltd – Melbourne

Working with experienced and driven project teams, you will contribute to the development of leading edge medical, mining and business products through design, build and verification of electronic modules, subsystems, devices, and systems. You will be involved in product prototyping, pre-production testing and qualification, and actively contribute to the ongoing development of our engineering standards. This role will suit someone with 1-2 years commercial experience.

You will be responsible for:

Electrical/Electronic design and verification
Creation and execution of design documentation and test plans
Estimating tasks within our agile/scrum framework
Material, component and equipment evaluation for use in design and tests
Hardware and system implementations
Creation and maintenance of high quality project documentation
Liaison with Systems Engineering, Test and Quality Assurance throughout the project lifecycle
Working with project teams including mechanical, software and systems engineers, and our clients to ensure successful project delivery
Continually improving our engineering processes and standards.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Experience in electrical/electronics engineering within a product development environment (1-2 years)
Experience in hardware design of both analogue & digital electronic circuitry
Experience designing digital circuits involving embedded microcontrollers a bonus
Able to perform simulation, schematic capture and PCB designs, including proper selection of components and circuits with detailed documentation of key design decisions
Experience in using Altium schematic and PCB design software
Experience in an agile environment a bonus
Sound knowledge of electrical engineering principles, techniques and practices
A drive to learn
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A team focus and collaborative approach
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electronics) or relevant discipline
