About the role
The Department of Health has recently introduced a new recruitment model (Recruit for Fit). Our goal is to partner with the business to attract and select the best talent for the job, every time and to significantly improve the candidate experience.

As the Senior Advisor, Recruitment, you will act as a subject matter expert within the team and be responsible for the delivery of end to end recruitment across your client portfolio. You will provide professional consultancy and advisory services around best practice recruitment and selection.

This is not your traditional public sector recruitment role. You will be involved in all aspects of recruitment including: taking job briefs, executive best practice attraction strategies, using LinkedIn Recruiter to actively search for talent, pre-screening applications (and sometimes conducting telephone interviews), and also participating on selection panels where required.
 
About you
You will have extensive experience in contemporary recruitment practices and an ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Your experience using various attraction and sourcing methods and your understanding of candidate assessment and selection options will see you succeed in this role. You understand the importance of building effective working relationships with stakeholders and this comes naturally to you.

You will join a newly formed recruitment team and have an opportunity to provide input into ongoing recruitment strategies. The team possess a high drive and huge emphasis on continuing to improve our new recruitment model. Your success in this role will be also be determined by your ability to work as part of a team in a complex and sometimes ambiguous environment.
