Accommodation Manager – Sunnyhaven Ltd – Sydney

You will be responsible for:
•The Manager is typically responsible for the management and oversight of a group of residential homes for people with disabilities. The Manager will ensure the effective operation and management of the services in accordance with the policies and procedures of Sunnyhaven Ltd, NSW Disability Services Act and WH&S legislation.
•The Manager has a direct responsibility for the staff that work in the homes and is therefore accountable to ensure that the needs of people who live in or are supported by the home are met through the actions of the staff.
•The Manager will provide leadership, direction and supervision of programs within Sunnyhaven Ltd The Manager will ensure that financial planning underpins program development and strategic objectives
• The Manager will be responsible for the overall Strategic direction of Sunnyhaven’s Accommodation services and will actively develop short and long term strategies to ensure we meet the NDIS requirements.
•The Manager will ensure the activities of the Units are operated effectively and efficiently, and provide quality services to Sunnyhaven’s clients.
•Regard must be given to short and long term objectives and broad policy guidelines as defined by the Chief Executive Officer
•The Manager will ensure that financial planning underpins program development and strategic objectives

We require you to have:
•Several years experience in a comparable role with another not for profit
•Extensive experience working in the Disabilities and/or Community Services Sector and a good understanding of government agency and governance requirements
•Formal qualifications e.g. Cert III, IV, Graduate/Postgraduate in Disability/Social Services/Community services
•Proven ability of excellent communication skills including written and verbal
•Proven ability to provide leadership and strategic direction
•Proven ability to be client focus
•Proven ability in effectively managing performance
•Proven ability in using a Computer and Microsoft Office applications
•Proven ability and demonstrated experience in team management
•Must have current drivers license and first aid certificate
