About the Position:
The Grants Coordinator is a significant role in developing and supporting research funding applications. The role works closely with academic staff to develop high quality funding applications, in accordance with funding rules. The Grants Coordinator also supports post award contract management and advice.

Reporting to the Manager, Research Grants and Ethics, the Grants Coordinator is the primary advisor to researchers and other relevant business units within the University on all major aspects of external grant administration. This position also facilitates the smooth administration of all matters pertaining to research opportunities, applications and post award research and consultancies, including milestone reporting and ensuring contractual compliance.

About the Person:
To be considered for this role candidates will possess a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline coupled with experience working in a research grants environment, within the tertiary education sector.

A demonstrated understanding of research funding opportunities, schemes and research funding trends within and outside Australia is essential. Significant written communication, problem solving and financial interpretation skills are key to this role, as is exceptional time management skills. Candidates should be able to interpret contractual agreements, funding guidelines and monitoring compliance with University policy.

Experience using grant management databases will be a distinct advantage.

Salary details:
Remuneration for the appointment will commence at $72 739 plus 9.5% superannuation pa.
