Sheriff’s Award Sheriff’s Officer, Salary ($58,687 – $63,801), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. Please note that the first year salary for Probationary Sheriff’s is $53,642 (plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading) whilst undergoing mandatory training.

A great opportunity is presently available for individuals who are interested in working as a Sheriff at various Court locations within the Department of Justice. You will enjoy providing law enforcement, security and other court related responsibilities under the direction and supervision of the Officer-in-Charge.

Other court related duties you will be responsible for is providing support and ensuring the welfare of jurors and overseeing the day to day court room operations. In addition, working as a Sheriff’s Officer may require you to move between centres to meet work demands pending operational requirements.

We’re looking for someone who understands how to give direction and take direction as well as high integrity and enjoys taking initiative. You will also have strong communication skills (both written and verbal), enjoy working as part of a well-structured team and interested in developing a new career path.
