Field Service Technician – Irrigation Tasmania – Launceston

Irrigation Tasmania is a well-known fluid transfer goods supplier throughout the State. We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service and the ability to meet the irrigation and associated industries’ requirements of our customers – both locally and in the field.

We are looking for a dynamic person to help us to continue to provide this outstanding service to the community and to help our team continue to achieve its goals in our Launceston Branch, commencing as soon as practicable. This is a full time position.

Remuneration package includes a Company Vehicle

The main focus of this position is to provide outstanding customer service with Installation, Service and Repairs of Irrigation Systems and associated Work.

Relevant Trade Qualifications are desirable but not essential

Demonstrated experience with Irrigation Systems will be a definite advantage

Demonstrated high level Customer Service is essential

Desirable requirements for this role include:

A strong work ethic and can take the initiative when required

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in installing irrigators and irrigation systems.

Laying pipe and Poly Welding.

Attend to repair and replacement of irrigation systems and pumps as required.

Assist in other assignments including domestic, commercial, civil, mining and industrial applications.

Rotating on call roster operates Oct – Mar

Adhere to all OHS Policies and Systematic and Tailored SOP’s.

Participate in all induction sessions and training provided / required.

Work in a safe manner at all times.

Meet time parameters and expectations on all jobs.

Complete Timesheets on time and in full.

Complete all other documentation required for the position in a timely manner.

Always present in a clean and tidy manner.

Fully maintain all vehicles, tools and machinery in your possession in a clean, efficient and effective working order.

As each day is different, the successful applicant will be required to provide long-term dedication to this role due to the ever-changing cycle of the year. Depending on what is required you will need to be able to work in a team as easily as working autonomously. Full training is provided.
