Airline Sales Executive – The Walshe Group – Brisbane

Aircalin is the international airline of New Caledonia with online services from Brisbane to Noumea.

The Walshe Group, GSA for Aircalin, is seeking a self-motivated and reliable individual with previous travel industry/airline experience and a passion for sales, based in Brisbane for the role of Sales Executive.

This role is responsible for representing Aircalin and promoting tourism to New Caledonia in developing key relationships within the travel industry and identifying new opportunities to grow the airline’s market share.

Note: This is a part-time, home based role, based on approximately 18 hours per week.

Key responsibilities will include;

Maintaining a regular sales call pattern to the travel industry, wholesalers and MICE industry;
To deliver a professional and informative sales message;
To represent the airline at industry events such as expos and functions;
To negotiate arrangements with key suppliers;
To source market intelligence on competitor activity and industry developments;
To build and maintain key relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

Successful applicants must possess the following;

Previous airline/travel industry experience in maintaining regular sales calls across an assigned sales territory;
Knowledge of airline airfare structure, terminology and processes;
First rate presentation and negotiation skills;
Knowledge of the Australian travel industry and local distribution systems;
Be self-motivated with the capacity to work autonomously in the Queensland market.
Must have own car and driver’s licence.
