IT Support Officer – Wesley College Melbourne

Wesley College Melbourne, a Uniting Church school with a rich tradition spanning 149 years, is a diverse, dynamic, coeducational learning community with more than 3,100 students aged between 3 and 18 years across 3 main campuses.

We are seeking an experienced IT professional for a full time opportunity primarily based at our Elsternwick campus.

The IT Support Officer role is responsible for the effective and timely support of the College’s client software and hardware. The Support Group comprises the staff and student service desk function, software licensing, administration of Australia’s largest student notebook program and client technology implementation and support. The team also works with external suppliers and research and implements new client-based technologies.

The role works with the ITS Service Desk but has considerable autonomy to support the client-based infrastructure to meet agreed service levels. It is expected that the incumbent will work with College staff, directly and regularly with Year 5 to Year 12 students and occasionally with their parents in resolution of IT issues. The role requires someone who can show initiative, independent thinking is self-motivated and works well under pressure.
