Finance Business Partner – Robert Walters – Melbourne

The Position:
Business Partner to the Sales Director for the Region in day to day finance activities and in business review meetings with the Division Management. You will be a sounding board for the Sales Directors actions as well as to challenge strategic plans from a finance perspective
Prepare presentation material for Group Management and other stakeholders
Data collection: Provide financial analysis of the operational performance during monthly and quarterly closings. Drive accuracy, consistency and quality of financial reporting
Direct involvement in new growth projects within the Region and with the preparation of business cases
Ongoing portfolio analysis (customer profitability/ product group profitability), ongoing efficiency focus (benchmark studies)
Coordinate the budget & forecast processes with regional stakeholders, working closely with business division COs and others to secure consistency, quality, timing and transparency
Analyse, develop and make recommendations for pricing and drive the profitability for each of the regional operations (decision support analytics)
Focus on ongoing working capital improvements, utilize financial engineering (factoring), past due improvements and credit risk management
Identify and strengthen relationships with key regional stakeholders and other internal customers
Build up stable and trusted relationships with the local finance manager and with the regional Sales Director
Highlight ‘control’ in ‘controlling’ in order to protect the company’s reputation, keep stakeholders out of trouble and guarantee a clean business

Your Profile – skills and experience:
CA/CPA qualified
Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales finance controlling/ FMCG/Retail
Well-developed knowledge of common analysis tools and excellent knowledge of financial and reporting system including MS-Excel
