The College is looking to employ a Head of Department (Mathematics) who will lead a team responsible for the creation, delivery and management of an innovative, high quality and vibrant curriculum and learning community within the context of the school’s Vision for Learning in liaison with the school leadership.

Key Selection Criteria:

Essential

Relevant educational qualification and experience gained in a similar role
Current Victorian Institute of Teachers (VIT) registration
Demonstrated current practice in the field and a passion for Mathematics
Demonstrated commitment to achieving best practice in teaching and learning
Strong leadership skills
Proven ability to effectively engage students
An ability to modify instructions to cater for the individual learning needs of students
Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate programs
Demonstrated ability to analyse the needs of the department
Demonstrated experience and willingness to work collaboratively with both teachers, students and parents
Effective communication skills with staff, students and parents
