Project Director – ACER – Melbourne

The Vocational, Adult and Workplace Education (VAWE) team within the Professional Resources Division is seeking an experienced and capable Project Director. The position is based in the ACER Melbourne office in Camberwell.

The prime responsibility of this position is to manage a suite of recruitment and selection assessment service projects operated on behalf of ACER’s clients in the emergency services sector (police, fire brigade, etc).  These projects mainly involve large scale test sittings in multiple, supervised locations using both online and paper and pen delivery.

The Project Director will manage all day to day operations of the projects, including: project planning, project administration and project risk management; liaison with the client, internal ACER work resources and other stakeholders; managing candidate enquiries and processing registrations; developing and implementing project processes and documentation; marketing; preparation and monitoring of financial reports and annual budgets; and co-ordinating staff and other resources.

We are seeking someone with excellent project management skills and the ability to work under pressure and within tight project time frames.  High-level attention to detail and accuracy and excellent communication skills are essential. Experience using a range of computer applications, as well as demonstrated aptitude for using technology to provide solutions are also required attributes of this position. Applicants need to be experienced in supporting a diverse range of project teams, and must be willing to contribute within a team structure. A tertiary degree and/or relevant experience are required.

This a full time opportunity for an initial two (2) year appointment. Salary is within the range $89,969 – $99,437 plus Superannuation (Job size 400).
