Project Officer, Peer Education – Council on the Ageing (Tasmania) Inc – Hobart

About the Role:

In this role you will manage, deliver and monitor a statewide Peer Education program for older Tasmanians.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will have direct responsibility for:

Recruiting, training and supporting volunteer Peer Educators
Developing and updating resource materials for Peer Educators
Promoting Peer Educator led information sessions to target audiences
Maintaining records, monitoring  and reporting on the project deliverables
Developing effective stakeholder partnerships
Contributing to the development and implementation of project plans

Skills and Experience:

Knowledge and understanding of Peer Education principles and adult learning
Demonstrated experience in working effectively with volunteers
Highly developed oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
Highly developed organisational and time management skills
Experience in project management
Knowledge of WHS requirements and experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
Capacity to maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders
