Assessment Officer – Gillian Beaumont Legal – Sydney

The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse is seeking an Assessment Officer to fill a vacancy in their Assessment and Inquiry team. The Assessment Officer will be required to gather and analyse information from individuals, handle customer inquiries by telephone and email, and provide input to reports.

To be considered for this position, your application must demonstrate high level communication skills, people skills, problem solving and analysis skills, and a strong focus on customer service. Previous experience in data entry is also highly desirable. In addition, due to the challenging subject matter handled by this organisation, it is essential that the you understand the impact of child sexual assault on individuals.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with a strong ability to multi-task. They will have demonstrated problem solving and analysis skills, and will also be adaptable, resilient and stress-tolerant. Candidates with a background working directly with victims or witnesses of sexual abuse in the past will be highly regarded.

This position will be offered on a contractual basis, with a salary between $55,550 and $67,220 plus 15.4% superannuation.
