Our Personal Injury team is the largest of its type in Queensland. We are looking for an energetic, client-focused lawyer with 3+ years’ experience in personal injuries law to take up a senior role in our Mackay Office.

Our current Office Leader will be commencing maternity leave in late June for a period of 6 months, and we need to find the right person to manage our office in her absence. On her return in 2016, this role will continue to provide senior support to the office on a permanent basis. Given the current growth within the firm there may also be future leadership opportunities elsewhere in the state.

Your responsibilities in this role will include managing complex and high value personal injury files, maintaining a focus on building the practice through business development, overseeing the financial performance of the office and day to day management of the office and the team.

The Mackay team consists of 2 lawyers and 4 support staff. You will be responsible for overseeing the work of the lawyers within the office and ensuring productivity and performance of the whole office is maintained.

You will ideally be currently working for a firm in a PI environment and be able to meet the following criteria:

A driven individual with extensive experience in the legal field seeking their next challenge in their career
Experience in leading teams or managing people
Proficiency in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, PIPA and CTP
Demonstrated capacity in the past in executing a marketing strategy in the legal field
Knowledge of the Mackay, or regional Queensland, market will be highly regard but not essential
