Business Development Manager – ProExec – Melbourne

Our client is a customer communications business allowing their clients the full spectrum of creative, production, distribution and management solutions nationally. With such an offering on hand, they are looking to bring on a Business Development Manager in their Melbourne office to help drive revenue for the next phase of the company’s growth.

The role:
As the business development manager, you will be managing the sales process from start to finish. Your main responsibility is to generate new business profitability throughout a range of relevant industries. It is quite a consultative sell and you have the opportunity to develop relationships with clients you bring on board and continue to build on existing accounts. Your main target will be selling into publishers so a background in publishing or having sold into publishers before will be an advantage. The company is a part of a larger group and therefore you will be able to sell across a number of different products and services – the consultative sell is heavily relied upon at this point and building a relationship will only help you in the process.

The successful candidate:

Results driven and a track record of hitting targets
Have experience in the publishing industry or selling into it
Have 2+ years in business development
Understand the sales process and excellent negotiation skills
Have excellent presentation and communication skills
Take a consultative approach in your sales strategy
