Westral Home Improvements, situated on Bannister Road in Canning Vale, is the leading manufacturer and supplier of home improvement products including Granny Flats, Patios, Carports, Security Doors, Blinds, Awnings and Shutters. Founded 42 years ago in 1973 and still with the same owners it has built its reputation on customer service with most of its business coming from repeat and referred clients. Westral has an excellent staff retention record with many of its staff having been with Westral for 5-40 years.

The Outdoor Division requires an experienced and suitably qualified General Manager. Reporting to the company owners, the successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects associated with the building of Granny Flats, Patios and Carports. These include overseeing quoting, design, purchasing and installation. The current team consists of office personnel, sales staff, an operations manager, an installation manager and subcontract installers.

It is envisaged that the General Manager will be able to substantially grow the division and to this end an attractive package will be offered to the right applicant.

The following qualifications and/or attributes would be beneficial:

Registered builder
Relevant qualifications
Job costing and quantifying
The ability to negotiate with suppliers
Project planning
Several years experience at senior management level
Ability to design related works including gables, hips, domes and all aspects of Granny Flats
Proven record in team leadership with the ability to motivate staff and subcontractors
