This is a rare opportunity for a driven and highly experienced National Demand Planning Manager to join a global FMCG organisation as they continue on their journey of excellence, focusing on driving continuous improvement projects. This role is a key leadership role in the business, sitting on the SLT, leading a large team through the demand planning process, as part of the S&OP process. Owning the relationship with the Commercial and Marketing teams, bringing a collaborative and partnership approach, you will be responsible for delivering a realistic forecast. Leading the development of and implementing best practice, you will strive for continuous improvement around the forecast accuracy, continuing to build trust in all processes within the S&OP process and it’s outcomes.

In this role, you will lead a highly commercial environment, engaging and developing a highly intelligent and driven team. A large component of this role will be developing your team, building a strong succession plan for your Demand Planners, in line with their career objectives and the overall business strategy.  Further you will be responsible for owning the relationships with cross functional links within a complex matrix structure environment across Sales, Marketing, Finance and the broader Supply Chain Team.

Given the seniority of this position, in order to be successful, you will come from a strong background leading the Demand Planning function within an FMCG or Consumer Durables Manufacturing environment. You will be degree qualified, with proven APO experience. Comfortable managing and developing a large team, you will also be comfortable and able to manage upwards to a senior level. With a high level of Continuous Improvement definition and implementation experience, you will be a natural project and change manager.

Personally, you will be a strong communicator and negotiator with both internal and external stakeholders. You will have a proven background in gaining buy in and exercising influence in order to reach the business objectives. Finally, you will have a strong, highly developed commercial acumen, with the ability to see the big picture across a large organisation.
