Warehouse & Distribution Manager – Melbourne – SAP Resourcing and Recruitment

Our client is a genuine global powerhouse in their field, selling a range of market leading goods to their customers that have positioned them as number one.
The business is continuing their growth and expansion across Asia-Pacific, and are now looking for an experienced Warehouse & Distribution Manager.
SAP experience is a distinct advantage in this role.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:-
Ensure thorough understanding of regulations associated with the products and how they apply to new supply chain developments
Ensure that all the companies warehousing parties are aware of and can meet the required operational and QSHE standards
Manage the development of all warehousing & distribution processes to ensure optimal commercial excellence
Develop and manage Service Level Agreements and Key Performance indicators with all third party providers
Responsible for the management of all external parties, their services, costs, capabilities to deliver. This includes the analysis of such requirements of the business and scouting of suitable partners to drive the business operation forward
Development, implementation and management of local inventory planning mechanisms
Implement process’ to ensure system inventory is properly managed and that all variances are accounted for
Working directly with the inventory and logistics controller to ensure that product distribution meets demand requirement and avoid failure to meet delivery
Manage major warehousing and distribution projects in line with the industry regulatory requirements, budgeting, cost benefit and feasibility analysis
Oversee the strategic management and development of the ANZ warehousing and distribution functions to produce increasing level of productivity and efficiency, streamlined practices and reduced operating costs
Identify and implement changes required to ensure a measured reduction in non- conformance and overall operations efficiency gains
Ensure that warehouse and distribution reports are compiled and presented to the supply chain team accordingly including DIFOT reports, freight & warehouse costs, variances to estimates.
