International Admissions Officer – TAFE Queensland – Brisbane

Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
Live a safety culture, lead by example and support the Health Safety and Environment Management System to create a TAFE Queensland wide safety culture.
Develop and maintain systems which facilitate the timely and compliant preparation, processing and tracking of international student enrolments and financial records.
Utilise a comprehensive knowledge of TAFE Queensland, its services and products, specifically with regard to course information, entry requirements and legislative requirements associated with the delivery of services to international students.
Assist in the coordination of initial student placements including assessment of student applications, applications for exemptions or credit and the monitoring of fees payable.
Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and initiate and maintain contact with international students with a view to provide ongoing support, admissions advice, and referral to appropriate services and agencies.
Carry out tasks of a financial nature including providing assistance in purchasing procedures, payment of accounts, processing claims, and ensure processes are carried out in accordance with Financial Management Standards and related policies and procedures.
Use a variety of computer software to provide a high standard of administrative support to the team, as well as ensuring student and financial records are up to date, accurate and easily extractable for reporting purposes.
Actively contribute to and participate in relevant networks, international student orientation, marketing and promotional activities.
Undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions.
Ensure day to day activities align with business operations.
Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices.
