About the role:
Our ideal candidate is someone who is an experienced Construction Supervisor, with safety qualifications and modular building experience. While the role’s primary function is that of HSEQ Advisor, the candidate should be able to step into the Construction Supervisor’s duties as needed, potentially for the Supervisor’s R&R periods.
The role is based in the Pilbara region in Western Australia and reports directly to the Project Manager. As mentioned, the primary purpose of this position is to provide informed HSEQ advice to internal and external stakeholders in order to resolve all project safety matters. An ability to supervise the modular works on an as-needs basis will be a distinct advantage.
In conjunction with the Supervisors and the broader Safety team, you will work to implement and administer the Project Safety & Quality plans on site. You will be responsible for all aspects of the site program, ensuring quality controls are implemented, maintained and reported.
Key responsibilities include-
Conduct on-site quality inspections and checks
Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to the Project Manager, Client and Corporate divisions
Solutions based Safety-focus – working with the team to provide solutions to safety items, not just as an identifier
You will also be required to complete the relief periods for the current Construction Supervisor.
About the candidate:
To be eligible for this position you must have previous FIFO site experience, and ideally be from a construction or engineering background. Previous experience working with modular / transportable buildings will be highly regarded. Candidates must possess a current white card and a Certificate IV Workplace Health & Safety (minimum).
Working with the Project team will require you to have strong communication skills, high attention to detail and task focus. This is a salaried position and the roster for this role is 3 weeks on, 1 week off.
